Wait staff in main ding room was very good. Room steward did nothing to room first day/night, wife lit him up then he stayed on top of it. Ship personnel very pleasant to deal with.

Room M48 was not a good room. First night a/c barely kept room cool compared to a relatives on same floor. Above the bed was a fold up bed with wooden frame above pillows which is too easy to bump your head. The room is situated at the curve of the hull. It created loud noises from waves hitting the bow. Worse yet was some loud whining (hydronic?) droning sounds in the middle of the night kept waking me up. So I basically hated the room.

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata), Dominican Republic

The contained area at amber cove was real nice with pool, zip lines and hilltop bar. Unfortunately our excursion was canceled due to lack of participants. Visit orphanage and city tour with lunch. Not Carnival’s fault, just very disappointed.
