Review summary

This boat is old, and even though it's been renovated, they can't possibly replace everything. Half of the elevators didn't work half the time, so we were pretty much forced to take the stairs the entire time. The cruise director wasn't great either. We only saw her twice the entire time. The food was pretty good, especially the burgers and the fine dining. This ship has very little for kids to do, so if they don't enjoy the kids club (which ours didn't), they're pretty much out of luck. We were never able to play putt-putt golf or ping pong because they were always taken and putt putt didn't have enough balls. They should have sign ups or something for ping pong so that everybody gets a chance to play. Our refrigerator didn't work for the first 2 days, and it took 5 calls to Guest Services for them to finally replace it. We had a good time, especially on the excursions, but we'll definitely choose a different ship next time.

It’s personal preference. Many enjoy the Fantasy Class ships, many enjoy the larger ships. We’ve cruised 8 times on Fantasy Class Ships, (with # 9 and 10 on the books we are looking forward to them). We’ve cruised larger ships, and enjoy them as well. We like them all...

Yeah the Fascination and Elation series boats are smaller and older. Even though they have some nice itineraries I guess I’m spoiled with the larger ships. We were on the Elation and a couple years ago and just decided hey we are on a cruise, don’t have to cook or clean and we can hang out in the Adults only area drinking fruity drinks so we made the best of it. This next cruise we are going on the Conquest. Not the biggest, newest ship but bigger than the Elation.
