Review summary
We were both sick as dogs the whole week. I caught a cold a couple days before we left, and my wife came down with it the next day. It was a really bad one, so we were both pretty miserable. Then, it proceeded to rain like cats and dogs EVERY SINGLE DAY. We spent about an hour in Nassau, getting off the ship and walking directly to the pharmacy for cold meds, and heading right back to the ship. When we got to Half Moon Cay, they wouldn't even let us off the boat. We stared at it from the ship through the downpour. But this had absolutely NOTHING to do with our experience with the ship and its fabulous crew. They were unbelievably attentive, friendly and kind. They ALL went the extra mile to make us happy and make our cruise a great memory. The live shows were great, and the other activities aboard the ship were lots of fun too. My wife was most looking forward to time on the beach, but I went for the FOOD, and it was spectacular. We did the Chef's Table experience, and it was by far the highlight of the cruise for us. Boopathy was so animated as he detailed all of the steps in creating the absolutely MAGNIFICENT 7-course meal they treated us to. (I don't mean it was free, it was $75 a head, but VERY well worth every penny of it) The Cruise Director Kevin was a hoot. We were amazed by his ability to be ON every minute of every day. He made everything fun! Our cabin steward Richard was a real sweetheart too, as was his partner Aneeda. Our cabin was always spick and span! We also adored our Maitre' D and our servers, Jose, Sharon, and Anthony. I was a real pain in the rear to them I have no doubt, but they never for one second made us feel like we were any trouble. I ran into Sharon all over the ship, and she always knew our names and warmly greeted us. Despite being sick and having to endure a week of nothing but rain, we had a good time, and would do it again. Thank you Elation Crew!Embarkation
