Review summary
Positives The chef's table was a fun experience that was only made better by the staff. Mr. Pritam the server was the best server I have ever had. I have been to Michelin Star Restaurants and other venues that pride themselves on service, none of them compared to Mr. Pritam. You can tell he enjoyed his job and his focus was on ensuring everyone had an amazing experience. He was very attentive, but not over the top. Chef Bhupathi also made the experience a fun one by explaining in detail how the meal was prepared and other stories about the kitchen. The other cooks and servers involved in the chefs table also did a fantastic job, but I didn't get their names. Room Service- Jonathan was an excellent housekeeper. He always greeted us by name and helped us when we asked for it. He is definitely worthy of some recognition. Food- Food was fantastic really enjoyed it maybe a little to much. Entertainment- The comedians, bands, trivia, murder mystery, and crack the codes were a lot of fun. We didn't have a murder mystery on our last ship so that was a fun surprise. We also really loved crack the code. The only improve I would say about murder mystery is they flat out told you it was X or this weapon wasn't used. It would be more fun if they gave you a hint and you had to solve it. Having said that only 16 people including us got it right so maybe its difficult enough. Negatives Activities in the casino area To many events in the casino area. I am not a smoker and I do not enjoy being around smokers, but I constantly found myself in that situation on this cruise. There is no reason Harry Potter Trivia and Hunger Games Trivia should be done in the one part of the ship that allows smoking. These games are geared towards kids and they had to be exposed to second hand smoke. We enjoyed the boy girl band but they were always in the casino area and so we rarely saw them so we could avoid the smoke. Rainy day I understand that you cant control the weather, but on our day at Half Moon Cay I felt like they should have been better prepared. With today's technology you can forecast weather. If you know its going to rain they should be better prepared with alternate activities on the ship. They added a movie and bingo but I felt like there could have been more fun things to do. Good and Bad Kevin We thought Kevin did a good job and cared about his job. I can imagine doing his job everyday for 9 months straight can start to feel like Groundhogs day. The 80, 90, 00 music trivia he led was a lot of fun. He also did a great job helping two couples get engaged he never let on what was happening. The negative on Kevin was we had to go to two events to find stuff out and he saved them to the end to keep us there the whole time. I am sure this is a trick of the trade, but when on a short cruise with a lot of events going on I dont want to feel like I am being forced to be some where I dont want to be. We had to sit through a morning show and a question and answer with him to get murder mystery information. Besides that he did a great job.Embarkation
