Review summary

Already looking forward to the nextcruise, it won’t be the elation and I’m very disappointed this time around with Carnival cutting corners.

Embarkation

Someone had passed away on the cruise before us, and the coast gaurd took control of the ship. They kicked everyone off. They didn’t release the ship back to Carnival till around 115. Then we were able to board. The rest of that night everything was running late. But things happen it was no one’s fault and I hope the family of the man that passed is ok

The food was absolutely amazing and what is that Gauva? Drink, it’s delicious. I had my first Guys burgers, very good.

It rained the whole time, and again no ones fault, but the activity director didn’t have any back up plan’s. There were 9 in my group that walked around looking for something to do.

Loved our cabin I was able to check out R 164, R176, and R 238. 238 was noisy from the engine the rest were great:)

Ship tip

I personally will not take the elation again! The activities were lame, and we felt like Carnival cut corners this cruise. Out of all the cruises I took elation was the choppiest and leaving from Jacksonville port everything seemed rush because

Don’t get me wrong other then entertainment and weather ( which they can’t control) everything was great:) the foods amazing and the staff is just great as always.

Noma, The entertainment was so good the last few cruises we had taken! I know it’s been a while in-between cruises for us, but last time we had to pick which show we wanted to try and see , this time-there was only 1.

Not true! We were talking to one of the employees! The reason the coast guard even came aboard this ship was to investigate and check everything was properly working.

There was a Coast Guard “inspection” on this sailing. Had nothing to do with the guest who passed away. As with any sailing all guests who are on board from the previous sailing have to debark and clear customs before the new cruise guests can board. Having the inspection delayed boarding about an hour later than normal ops 😊Boarding was closer to 12:30 not 1:15
