Review summary

Not what we thought it would be. Ship was awful. And customer service was the worst I've ever dealt with. Will cruise again but not with carnival unless I get a response from them.

Embarkation

To start with 4 days before we were to leave they sent an email to inform us that the ship we were suppose to be on (elation) wasn't ready and we would be going on the fascination. They wanted us to be great full that we were still going. Me and my wife were taking this cruise to celebrate our honeymoon and had planned this for 13 months. We had hand picked the elation because it was coming out of Dry Dock and would have all the new restaurants on it. Instead we get put on an old ship that was ragged out. This being our first cruise we sucked it up and tried to enjoy ourselves. I went to guest services to try and find out if they were gonna make this right and all they said is that they were giving us a 50 dollar on board credit, which everybody recieved. The guest supervisor told me there was nothing she could do but that she would tk and email guest services and have an answer for me by the end of the day but that never happened. Once we got off ship and started home I called guest care services and it took them over an hour to answer the phone. When they finally answered after an hour of waiting she blew me off in less than 5 minutes and acted like it was nothing and made me and my wife feel like we should be greatful that we got to go. So as far as carnival guest care dept goes, they don't care they just want your money and all they have to give you is excuses and bad attitudes. I asked to speak to somebody higher up than them bur they said they wasn't anybody. I hope the president of carnival reads this and gives a reply.

I thought the ship was dry dock at that time???

Call the 1 800 number. They have an option to speak with someone after your cruise. I hope you get it resolved.

I understand your disappointment. Don't give up...Our cruise experiences and dealings with CCL has been good. My wife is very persistant when she has a problem. That helps. I hope you can get answers, soun like you diserve that. As for us our experince with CCL has been very good. Good luck with your cruises in the future.

I honestly dont know what ship u cruised with but carnival is a wonderful cruise line who love their customers an always take care of u no matter who u are. Sorry u feel the way u do but give them another chance.
