Would not go on Elation again..... Would never cruise on a ship with Kevin again!! Being this was my fourth cruise to be on , thought I knew what to expect from a carnival cruise. Boy was I wrong. Was not nowhere near to the other cruises we have been . Love cruising, But now looking at flying to Cancun to go to an all inclusive resort. Friends we took this cruise with said they had and it was awesome. They also said they would never go back on the Elation!!!

Awful !! Cruise Director was awful. This was my fourth cruise with Carnival if it had been my first it would have been the only one. Long five days. Ready to get off. Told everyone to meet in Mankato lounge. Could not use stairs he said only elevators in front of ship. Got there on 9th floor, doors locked. After waiting for all the other floors to debarked when they got to floor 6, they said that u could start using steps. Really... toilet busted at 2:30 am, hour an half later fixed, Not. Still leaked in floor, days later finally fixed. Porthole window never cleaned, couldn't hardly see out of it. Nasty on inside... no ice bucket in room,only go beach towels next to last day. Didn't leave clean towels 2nd night. Trying to get food was awful, long lines, long lines. Crew was in no hurry at all to serve u. Had great Dining room crew. Enjoyed! Would not go on Elation again!!!!!

Window Nasty. No ice bucket. No beach towels till next to last night of cruise. Didn't get clean towels Tuesday night
I can't wait! Almost all positive reviews for this ship, so far all others fall in line with our experiences on other ships. I have a feeling we are going to have a fabulous cruise!
I love this ship so much. There is a special vibe that I didn't get on other ships. The crew was amazing. And so hospitable and sweet. I'll be sailing one last time next week before her upgrades. Then back in December to see what's been done.
if you search for carnival 2.0 upgrades it will have those I went to a Q&A seminar while onboard and this was one of the questions...the pool will be extended the waterslides waterworks will be added, guys burgers, blue iguana cantina, Red frog pub..the staterooms are getting renovated and the interior a complete overhaul. she's going to be beautiful when she's done!
A good attitude will contribute more to your vacation than events... many people are constantly on the lookout for things that bother them, and they return telling everyone how bad the cruise (and cruise line) was...
well I just got off the elation this weekend and I personally LOVED Kevin, he was entertaining, up beat and occasionally snarky right when he needed to be (with people getting up to leave from the front rows of his shows lol) he's openly Gay if anyone cares and he jokes about his sexuality in a way that adults get it and kids not so much, i came across people on the ship that complained about this and most of them were up tight and part of the older generation that still frowns upon people being gay lol especially being openly gay lol, he was awesome, and we are booking our next cruise on the renovated Elation because of him! make your own judgements because I've noticed after reading on shipmate and experiencing it myself ALOT of people complain about the dumbest things that they wouldn't complain about on land. I enjoyed myself, I enjoyed Kevin and ALL of the Elation crew.
I've never cruised before but will be on the elation in November and I just find this post hard to believe, I have read some negative posts about the elation itself (the good outweigh the bad by far) but I have neverrrr read a single negative review about Kevin.
What is the deal with Kevin and why won't anyone give details? No one will ever believe you with no information to back up your claims. You're not helping anyone without giving additional info.
I'm just interested because I've had incredible experiences with him and have noting but amazing things about him from others. That's why I'm curious. Thanks
