Review summary

This was a first time cruise for our kids and they absolutely loved it. We will definitely be cruising with Carnival again. Next time I will make sure to pack more clothes though, because we seemed to be changing a lot!

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Embarkation was a lot less painless than expected. Overall, not a bad experience. Lines weren't too bad either.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The food and drinks were plentiful and delicious. I even tried a few new things.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
This would be a 5 star if the pools were bigger. My kids had to compete with adults in the kiddie pool. I think all the pools could've been a little bigger, especially the kid pool. There were so many activities going on, we were never bored.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Entertainment was awesome! We went to a few shows and the comedy club. The musicians and djs were great.

Children's Programs

3 out of 5
My children didn't go to the kids activities because they didn't want to be separated from their siblings. We have 5 kids and they all would've been spread out. I wish their was a way to keep at least 2 kids together for each group.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone was very kind and helpful. Our room steward Lulu was great! Kevin and George were awesome!! Our waiter Wayan was the best waiter I've ever had. He made sure my 5 year old was not bored and always had something he liked. This made our dining experience a lot better.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship is a little older, but our floor was already updated. I'm sure after the dry dock the rest of the updates will be just as nice. The common areas were always clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The cabin size was good enough for 3 people. Beds were very comfortable and it was always cleaned nicely by our room steward.

Ship tip

Bring sunscreen and have fun!

Ports of call

Jacksonville, Florida

Princess Cays (Cruise Line Private Island)

5 out of 5
Beautiful. We just found a chair and relaxed on the beach.

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island

5 out of 5
We dd the all-inclusive beach getaway. The food was great and they made sure you had plenty of drinks. Kids loved the water trampoline. This was our favorite port. Absolutely beautiful. You have to do an excursion though, because there is not a lot to do right at the dock.

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
We decided to check our bags and ended up being one of the last to get off the ship. We had to sit and wait for about 3 hours with 5 kids. I wish we would've just carried our bags off. Getting through customs wasn't bad, just the long waits in line.

Can I ask what you changed clothes for? I'm taking Day time clothes,(shorts & tees) & night time clothes, (jeans & polos) for my kids. Button down & Kakis for elegant night. They'll wear jeans twice.
