Review summary

Besides being old and needing some design upgrades, the cabins on floor 7 are very, very, noisy. Crew was friendly, food was good (not great - but good), shows were mediocre at best (singers were off-key), and found this to be more of a 'party' ship for those under the age of 50. I much prefer Royal Caribbean.

Don't ever choose this Cabin or any near by as it is below the dining room and they must move tables every morning at 4-5am. VERY noisy!!!!

we are 58 and loved Our Carnival cruise. We loved Half Moon Cay, Nassau was good, we did the Top 10 of Nassau. Nassau is run down but we still loved being there and sightseeing

My wife and I had a blast on the Elation. (I'm 63 and she's 55). You are right in that other cruise lines cater to a more mellow crowd... We cruise with Celebrity and Princess and see a definite difference in clientele. We've loved each cruise, no matter what line, and just know there's a difference in them. It appears that you didn't enjoy any of your cruise- you rated Nassau with 2 stars and Freeport with 1 star, along with this 2 star rating. That's too bad... I'd like to try RCCL sometime...

Sorry to hear that I'm closer to 60 I like the party atmosphere and it's going to be my second trip on carnival elation and my 5 on the Bahamas route
