Review summary

The Elation REALLY NEEDS AN UPGRADE! The cabins are in severe disrepair.  Stains on the carpet, holes in the grout, drawers falling out and falling apart.

Room service was lacking to the point of being NONEXISTENT.  I ordered coffee through the door hanger and there was an excuse almost every morning as to why I did not get it.

My dining room waiter seemed to not understand what MEDIUM RARE meant, as I had to return my steak FOUR times and the head Maitre'd seemed unconcerned. By the time my 5th steak arrived, the other 6 people in my party were done eating, though the majority were not satisfied with their meals either.  Even my 12 year old son swished would just go get a pizza, rather than waiting.

The overall attitude of the staff seemed less than appealing as well, as though they had been aboard longer than usual and were ready to get off.

I really hope this is not going to be the norm for Carnival.

You need to try Crystal Cruise Lines since CCL is not your cup of tea.
