"A Vacation Cruise To Remember"

Sail Date: March 17, 2007

Reviewed: 6 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Inside

We sailed on Carnival Elation in March 2007 and thought the ship was beautiful and well maintained throughout. Our stateroom was spotless. We would leave to go to breakfast and come back 1/2 hour later and the room was already clean and the bed made. We are not big eaters and felt that there was too much food. Breakfast was not anything special during the five days on the ship. We enjoyed going to the dining room for dinner, but liked the variety at the buffet in the grill area. Did not stay long enough at Nassau. Turks and the private island were not that exciting. The activity director did a good job of keeping everyone entertained with different activities. We fell asleep during the stage show. The Hypnotist show was fun. We had a great time and met alot of nice people.

Pros: The staff was friendly and very accomodating.

Cons: The food was average.

Recommends Carnival Elation? Yes!

Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)
Beautiful sandy beach.
Don't Miss: Horseback riding in the ocean.
Grand Turk Island
Not much to do there. A few little shops. Not much more than the private island. Rainy and cold, so excursions were cancelled. Everyone left to go back to the ship early.
Nassau, Bahamas
We caught a small van tour when we disembarked the ship for $25 each. It was worth it for two hours. We went all over the island stopping at a little market, through the neighborhoods, Atlantis and of course Anna Nicole's house. The straw market was an experience. Would have liked to spend more time in Nassau.
