Fabulous Vacation

Sail Date: April 23, 2007

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Oceanview

My entire experience was amazing! There were different entertainment and food options, and there was always something to do. The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff amazed me.

Pros: Entire staff was amazing and friendly.

Cons: The pool was too small and closed too early.

Recommends Carnival Elation? Yes!

Ship Quality
Cabin / Stateroom
Entertainment
Some activities were scheduled too close together, so we didn't really have the option to participate in more than one or two per day.
Service and Staff
Staff always had smiles on their faces. They were super helpful and friendly and made the whole experience more enjoyable.
Food and Dining
The food in the dining room and buffet was excellent, but the desserts were kind of bland. The dessert should be the best part! Not enough vegan or special diet options.
Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)
The beach was absolutely beautiful!
Don't Miss: The food at the cookout was delicious.
Grand Turk Island
There really wasn't much to do except shop. There are huge rocks as soon as you get into the water, so you can't really swim. Margaritaville is a good place to swim and get involved in some fun acitivities. Although, I wouldn't recommend buying anything from the bar. They charge a 10% tax and 15% gratuity.
Don't Miss: Margaritaville
Nassau, Bahamas
The people trying to sell you things on the street were a little too pushy, but other than that, a very good port. There was more to do than any other island, so you definitely had options.
Don't Miss: Senor Frogs! Such a fun atmosphere.
