Review summary

We planned a Christmas cruise for our family and friends. There were cruisers from age 5 to age 85, some seasoned and some on their first cruise. There was something for everyone and very little to complain about. All cruisers had a great time and would go back. We all said we wished it had been longer!

Embarkation

Ship was delayed to port due to fog. Hotel shuttle and hotel did not communicate. Called Carnival and they alluded that we could be dropped off and wait to board. Turned out to be false information. We did get dropped off mistakenly and had to sit outside on a bench for several hours. Next time, we will not take a shuttle. Once the delays cleared we were able to get on the ship quickly and all was well after that.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
All the food we had was great and just like other Carnival ships. No complaints.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Did not see any shows or do too many activities. Did spend time in piano bar and had a great time there!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Room steward Made was awesome!! Very friendly and accommodating.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
It is an older and smaller boat. We knew that going in so we weren't underwhelmed by anything.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
We had a balcony room and it was perfectly acceptable. My only complaint is a lack of counter space in the bathroom.

Ship tip

Deck 7 is ideal for access to pretty much everything on the ship. And is also the deck you disembark from. Convenient to Atrium bar, elevators and dining rooms.

Ports of call

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island

It was cold and rainy, but we made the best of it with a dolphin excursion. Our youngest loved it!

Nassau, Bahamas

Tiki Bikini Hut is awesome in Junkanoo beach. Byron and his staff are fun and the food is tasty.
