Review summary

This was the worst cruise that I have been on. My luggage was destroyed when it got to my room ( yes it was replaced). Customer service was no friendly. NEVER EVER WILL I GET BACK ON THIS SHIP. Someone should have told us as soon as they knew that we were not going to Freeport. The $8 dollars and change was a slap in the face that they put back on the sail and sign card. They should have given us the option to cancel the trip, because it did not sail to where we were suppose to go.

Embarkation

The food was not as tasty as before, not a lot of variety in the main dining room. Buffets was a lot of American food.

Onboard Activities

1 out of 5
Pool was so crowd that we could not get in.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Dining Room dancing was nice done by the waiter.

Children's Programs

I had no children

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Room Steward and Waiter was awesome. Staff at customer service was not very friendly, they act as if it was a problem for them to help us.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
It was clean

Cabin / Stateroom

1 out of 5
Toilet did not work when we arrived, the room was small and tight. the reason I got a balcony was to be able to enjoy the view. The ship itself outside was rusted, not very pretty to look at and it was small. When it rained the water came on the balcony so I could not enjoy it.

Ship tip

Take the ship out of service

Out of 6 carnival cruises and 5 different ships the Ecstasy i will say was our least favorite lesson learned will not go back on it.

I was on the Ecstasy in March, was my first cruise, and I LOVED it!!! I was addicted almost immediately! I came home and within a month had my second cruise booked for May of next year and I'm already ready to book a third for my 50th birthday in 2021 on the Mardi Gras.

For heavens sake you have to be joking think you should read your contract this is pathetic!!!!!

Are you serious that rain got on your (outdoor) balcony? You should get a refund...

Ummm if you cruised in September, Freeport was just coming off of a hurricane, which destroyed most of the island. People were washed away, some still not accounted for (even today), lost their homes and you’re complaining of missing this port and only getting a refund of your port fees and taxes.

Sounds like cruising may no longer be an option for you, especially during hurricane season.

Glad you enjoyed it!

Based on the fact you said “the food was not as good as before”, I take it’s not your first cruise. With that said the policy of a missed or canceled port is a refund on port fees and charges. No matter the cruise line not an option to cancel Your entire cruise. Itineraries changes daily on ships that would put cruise lines out of business. Read your cruise contract next time you book a cruise because “itinerary subject to change” is listed with what happens when it does change.
