Jacksonville port is full of longshoreman begging for money as you get on the ship. Once you get past the golf carts demanding you pay and ride, others demanding you pay to have your luggage carried and ones that physically block you from checking in your own luggage you will be fine.

Wait until the Ecstasy is back in Charleston SC before booking. Jacksonville Port is full of begging and overly aggressive people demanding you use their services. Not pleasant.
Better, mostly because the begging longshoreman hoards were not there yet. They were all just gathering to attack the next group that would be arriving for departure soon.
I don’t understand what you are stating by longshoremen begging for money. Are you talking about the luggage porters? JaxPort is an amazing cruise terminal, it’s efficient, clean, well staffed. You should try cruising out of Miami or Galveston ;)
