The Cruise was Fun...its all about what you as an individual make of a bad situation...that being not going to the Bahamas...because of Hurricane Dorian! Our Staff was the best you could ask for. Susilo being my favorite waiter of the trip. They were all great, we met new people made some lasting memories, friendships, and who can say they were on a cruise during a category 5 hurricane Dorian...US! The Captain and crew kept us safe and entertained the best they could! Thanks Carnival I look forward to cruising again with you all. Our prayers go out to the Bahamas and all affected by Hurricane Dorian...God Bless You All

It was very nice...the people at the port were very friendly and helpful...I had a scooter there to pick up and they took me right to it and right thru the line to meet up with the rest of my family.

The food in the main dining room The Wind Star was ok...it was alot of the same ole, same ole food nightly. Our Team of waiters were the best you could possibly ask for...Our Dinner HeadWaiter Tribaskui, Waiter Nanang, & Asst Team Waiter Susilo they made dinner service fun...they always greated us by name and pulled out chairs for the women and there were 8 adults 1 2yr old at our table. They all were so kind keeping our water glasses full and our drink orders coming...the food itself was what we waited on the most for. Something that was not the guys fault. I asked the Maitre'D Mr Ramesh if there was anyway we could have a different menu for our dinner one night...He ordered the Chef to make us a very special Indonesian & Indian food and allowed those that didn't want the special menu to order of the other menu. The Indonesian & Indian food was fabulous. The Curry Chicken and Jasmine Rice was my favorite, they also made a stew with Lamb meat, okra stew, lentils stew, split pea soup, lots of flavor and lots of spice...We really enjoyed it...we had it the last 2 nights onboard. Once again Our Thanks go out to the Chef, Maitre'D Mr Ramesh, Tribasuki, Nanang, & Susilo I give them 5 stars for their efforts every night in trying their best to keep us all happy. Susilo also worked at the BlueIguana Cantina For Breakfast of which we went to twice and the Breakfast Burritos were delicious. Our Brunch we had in the Wind Star was delicious Team HeadWaiter Ida Bagus & Team Waiter Pande were so nice and the second time we came in they knew us by name. The Filet & Tomato with eggs was to die for...so tender and juicy. The Biscuits were not very good they were very hard but the bread was perfect. The Mimosas were very refreshing and Coffee was always hot and fresh. Our other Waiters in the Wind Star for Lunch were just as good as the rest Team HeadWaiter Saw Petrue and Team Waiter Florin Stefanescu we something else...These guys had us laughing and cutting up at lunch with our neighboring tables...they were Great...We did go to the Lido Lunch and had some of the food from the buffet and it was good...Someone always offered to carry my try or my moms, even the Captin. The Guys Burger Joint is what we had the very first day on the ship...it was great the meat a lil greasy but I don't think I have ever had a burger that wasn't. The Pizza Pirate was eaten more than I like to admit since we were out late drinking every night. Carnival Deli was great...the sandwiches were always so fresh...I myself did not eat the Sushi at Sea but my friend did 3 times so it must of been good.

The team of people that work for you all deserve a raise...these men and women work so hard and try their best to make everyone feel special and happy. The food was not the greatest food but the waiters we had made up for the horrible food cause they cared and were kind apologitic towards the foods bad quality. They even got the Maitre'D Mr Ramesh to get the Chef to cook us an Indonesian Food the last two dinners and those at our table that did not wanna eat the Indonesian food again were able to order from the regular menu. Our family Loved our wait staff and miss them all so much! Florin Stefanescu, & Saw Petrue were both great guys so funny and down to earth. Ida Bagus & Pande were both Wonderful Guys that took great care of us at brunch....Our Dinner Table was the same Everynight either the back right of the hostess stand or the back right second table...we had 9 guest every night and or Wait Team knew our names by the 2nd night. TEAMHEADWAITER Tribasuki, TEAM WAITER Nanang & my personal favorite ASST TEAM WAITER Susilo, these guys went above and beyond everynight to make us feel like we were at home and part of their family...when Cooper my friends 2 year old was upset Susilo, Nanang, Tribasuki would squat down and personally talk to him saying Mr Cooper Sir how are you tonight do you want Chicken Nuggets again tonight or would you like another of our enturees Sir...and he loved that they all spoke to him but Susilo has a 2 yr old daughter and he was the best with him...the Hostess every night called me by name Miss Jennifer your table is ready, right this way...she would try to remember everyone in the party's name. They are all great...we miss them terrible. Even became friends on FB with some and speak daily. They made our trip more enjoyable, entertaining, and loving and not everyone can say that. We did not go to one show the whole time onboard except for the Veteran's Appreciation and was a lil disappointed cause on the Triumph they handed out nice pins and lil statues of the ship for every Veteran. On Ecstacy they gave out American Flags which was nice but service members from other countries did not necessarily want a lil American Flag.
Guest Services / Shore Excursions

Daniela in Guest Services does not get paid enough for her job and neither do the other people that were tryi g to help them when the Angry Mob of people came down fussing and cussing about the cruise not going anywhere. CAM the Cruise Director tried his best along with the Fun Squad to make people happy with the crappy deal we all were getting for no refunds were given for ports we did not travel too. I think if you guys had asked us if we wanted to donate our port fees and taxes to the people of the Bahamas instead of doing so on your own without giving us a Choice could of Bern handled much better. I appreciate all you tried to do to make us all happy but I feel we kinda got the crap end of a deal since other ships that were larger were taken to Mexico to port and some ships were given full refunds. Any kinda credit towards a future cruise would of made ne happier

Our Room Steward Jose was the best you could ask for he came in the morning and cleaned and in the afternoon sometimes if sone of us were still in the suite...at night Jose came in and turned our beds down and made us a different towel animal daily and the last night he made us a heart it was beautiful. I made sure to tip him dsily and gave him extra the last day. Our other room in our group had Hendro and I dod not see him daily but I know that he took good care of my friend and her child and mother. So on the last day I asked Jose to go and get him and I gave him a tip in a card and he was so appreciative. Our Waiters well I can't say enough good things about them...Wind Star Dining Roon Dinner Team Headwaiter Tribasuki, Team Waiter Nanang & Asst Team Waiter Susilo...these guys work so hard and I dont think they get enough recognition I eould give them 10 stars if I could the Maitre'D Mr Ramesh was awesome and got us a different meal served the last two nights...Wind Star Brunch Crew Team Headwaiter Ida Bagus & Team Waiter Pande were so kind and funny...Lunch In the Wind Star Dining Room with Team Headwaiter Saw Petrue & Team Waiter Florin Stefanescu was amazing these men go above and beyond...Alchemy Bar was Awesome and the drinks were even better. Mixologist Milan was something else he really could make sone cool drinks and was very entertaining while he was making up to 10 drinks at a time. Daniela in Guest Services was very kind and set up for a person to come a push myself and my mother from the room off the boat and sent a bellhop to get our luggage and help us out with it. The Cruise Director Cam went above and beyond to try snd make everyone happy that was upset about us not going to the Bahamas but they did keep us all safe from the storm...We did port in Key West Florida but again this is not what we paid for. The Captain Contarino along with his crew of staff kept us safe from harm but sometimes the sea was very rocky.

The Ecstacy ship is an old ship and it showed its age alot...there was a horrible sewage smell thru out the ship and on the Lido deck near the pool and the two bathrooms there was also a bad trash/rubbish smell comong from this same area. I dont know who or why but sometimes at night 1 or 2 am you could hear someone vacuuming the hallways. Several public bathrooms were not very clean and also smelled bad. But there were always crew cleaning thruout the whole ship.
Cabin / Stateroom

Our cabin was always clean Jose kept us with fresh towels and wash clothes and towel animals daily...the bathroom and shower were perfect and very easy to maneuver in...the deck was a lil hard to open and was not handicap accessible...by wheelchair or scooter. Yhe beds were comfortable but the bunks rail nade bruises and cuts all over our legs.
Ship tip
Remember its an older ship and its gonna have quirks and weird smells sometimes but the staff try their best to accommodate you in any way they can to make your stay on the ship a happy comfortable one.
It was a lil crazy but manageable we could not go back to Jacksonville Port cause it was closed but we went to Port Canaveral and were bussed back to Jacksonville Florida
