Review summary

Terrible experience. Spent $1200 dollars to go somewhere we could've driven to and then sailed around the ocean for four days! This was both my husband and myself first cruise and our honeymoon and it was awful. And we were not offered a partial refund, a credit, a voucher, nothing!! My honeymoon was ruined and I will NEVER sail Carnival again and am spreading the word about my experience

I was on the same cruise as you. My experience was just the opposite. A cat 5 hurricane was pounding the Bahamas. We got to go to Key West which was great. Sure we had 3 sea days. But I thought they did a great job getting everyone back to Jacksonville safely. It was my first cruise too, and booked it during hurricane season. I know not to do that again, especially since Carnival does not control the weather. Just booked our 2nd cruise on the Ecstasy this coming January, 👍😍

Hurricanes and weather related issues are not the fault of the cruise line. You knew Dorian was a factor because it was on the news for days!!!! CCL did what was necessary to keep everyone safe.

Sorry your honeymoon didnt turn out well people need to read reviews after 6 cruises the ecstasy was our least favorite and not great lots of people have given it mixed reviews including me. Next time go to Charleston and on the sunshine just a little further but 10 times better.

If you take a cruise during peak hurricane season you might expect to have some changes to your cruise. If there are big changes Carnival ALWAYS gives some kind of credit.

Cruise to nowhere

Our first cruise, had a great time. The ship was very clean and the staff and crew were some of the nicest and best people we ever met. The food was really good. Enjoyed the buffet as much as the main dining room. Definitely will sail again on the Ecstas.
