Review summary

This was our first cruise, and I learned from the experience. I was disappointed with the Pool size and the large crowd that went with it, the sprinklers next to the slides weren't on either. Couldn't just find a spot to hang out and sunbath with a little water. The AC was just sufficient but not great. The sewer smell along with the banging caused periodic negative vibes. The port days were our best days.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
I liked the Smoked Salmon, however, my husband had a steak that was cooked med., very tough, hard to chew. The only thing he ate was the Mac N Cheese. he enjoyed the Guy Burger section. This became the only thing he could eat.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
The entertainment from shows and crowd interaction was good. We enjoyed the games that we participated in and shows. The Pool size and number was extremely disappointing. The pool size was so small, that we mistaken ed it for a kiddie pool. There were too many people to enjoy the deck.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
We enjoyed the Rock Show, Motor City, Gender game, and Hasboro game.

Children's Programs

Our daughter loved the O2 experience, even made friends.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Everyone was friendly and nice. Our Room Steward was our favorite, Putu. He gets 5 stars. Is there a way to send additional gratuities to him? Our room was very clean and Puto knew all our names, personal service when speaking to us. He was able to communicate our families coming and going...this was handy when we had separate rooms.

Ship Quality

very disappointed with the pool size. This was our first cruise and we booked at the last minute, so I was not as prepared as I should have been. Day two, there was an awful sewer smell that lingered around the stairs and slipped into the hallways.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Multiple fluffy pillows, Putu always had ice for us, clean bedding and towels. The reason i didn't give this 5 stars, the AC could have been cooler. From the time we left Nassau, there was a periodic constant banging on the lower floor that sounded like it was outside our window or underneath us. Unable to nap that day and woken up early because of the noise. We also paid for our family in room R157

Ship tip

Great cruise for whole family, not pool lunging comfortable.

If you didn't enjoy your meal in the main dinning room, send it back. We have, then you may be satisfied with the second one. Your waiters are there for you.

Most pools on cruise ships are small a d ifvthey are bigger it means your on a bigger which means more people. If wanting to drive to you cruise i say go to Charleston on the sunshine much better food a little bit bigger pool with a small(very small but cute) adult only pool with a 3 deck serenity area. We've been on 5 ships and the ecstasy was our least favorite and not because ot was small weve been on other small ships.

That’s what you get with carnival and plus you went on a tiny ship

I agree the pools are small but it is a smaller ship larger ships have two and some have very cool ankle deep play areas for kids with splash buckets, slides etc which is where I love to hang out and the crowds well it’s summer and everyone is on vacation. Hope you try Carnival again.
