She is an old, smaller ship but for her age she does the job. She does not have all of the bells and whistles of the bigger boats but with that being said you dont feel as crowded as you may on the bigger boats. It was nice to just hang around and meet new people vs. fighting to get a chair at the pool, comdey club, bars, or movie night. Not sure I would cruise on her again, but that is only because I do enjoy more outdoor decks that this ship has.
Embarkation
3 out of 5
Gave it a 3 due to the confusion of getting into port and how un orginazed it was
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
MDR was a one time thing , food and service not what I have come to expect from Carnival. Lido buffet was standard no real complaints. Guys burgers, Blue cantina, the pizza and deli were really good
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5

Entertainment

Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Room staff went way above anything I could have expected. The bartenders always called us by name (not sure if that's a good thing..lol)
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
Ship was clean, yes it is an older ship but I always saw people wiping down things. I did from time to time smell the sewer smell that other people have talked about. even as a smoker the smoke smell in the casino was terrible.
Cabin / Stateroom

The room was great!! loved having all of the natural light from the balcony ( we maybe went out on it 4 times). Our steward and her team were the best we have ever had hands down!! *side note this room does have a hair dryer and fridge**
Ship tip
Deck 11 all the way at the front has a deck mose don't know about, but it can get really windy out there. Enjoy yourself, but don't over pack.
No excursion, but did do the "don't miss the boat room and shuttle to the port. We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express. If I ever sail out of Charleston again I will stay here. It is nice just having to ride to and from the port and not deal with traffic.
We did the shallow Dolphin encounter at Atlantis ($109.00 each). It included all access to Paradise Island, the water parks, aquarium, atlantis hotel and beaches. I chose this one because it included everything that the almost $300.00 excursion did for a fraction of the price!! If we ever go back we will def do this again.
We did the snorkling excursion here really enjoyed it!! It last about 1 1/2 hours which was perfect! We did not care for the Tender process at this port. Inside the gate you can ony use your sail an sign card to make purchases in the store, shacks since this port is and extion of this ship. If you go here go out of the gate ( you have to show your sail and sign as well as passport or drivers license) into the little local shopping area (maybe a dozen or so local vendors they take cash here) and be sure to go to
Georges he has a little bar with cheap beer and drinks, but the most amazing local food ever that is cooked on a grill right there.
