Review summary

We picked the cruise because it left out of Charleston and was going to Bermuda. Both favorite places for us. The cost of the 7 day cruise was quite a bit more than other destinations and after finding the ship in need of maintenance we wouldn't do it again. Our cabin was clean but the drapes were spotted and mildewy with holes in them and the bathroom had a large rusted spot next to the shower that was sharp and could have been a hazard. We had to be very careful. The food was just so so. We did not have one meal that was memorable. The crew and staff were wonderful and very attentive. Our overall take was that Carnival considers Charleston a lesser port and older ships with not so good food aren't likely to change in the near future. We won't be going again and won't go on Carnival in the future.

@ tiafra09 - I've sailed out of Charleston in February and in March. Both times I needed to wear a sweater when we pulled out of the port, but by the next morning it was warm enough to lie by the pool and work on my tan. The evenings were obviously not as warm as they are in the summer, so be sure to bring a sweater. The ports we visited were in the high 70s to mid 80s and the ocean was warm enough to be comfortable. Hope this helps!
