Review summary

The overall cruse was fun, the fact that carvel would rather dispose of the photos , opose to making an affordable package for people to buy all their photos . each indivual photo 21 each iwas not affordable for families and seniors , i was disappointed that the time spent and memories on the cruise was thrown away , just because carnival would rather throw the photos away rather than allow people to purchase a package of all thier photos taken . that alone would sway me away from taking another carval cruise . My photos were memories , that was thrown away, because I could not afford to purchase them.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Embarkment was good right from the airport pick up to the checking in , it was very inviting and the worker were very helpful.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The food was very good . However was not for vegans, there was one veggatarian Indian meal but wasn’t something that I cared for. I ate veggies and fruit . I was surprised that a cruse would not cater to all diets , there are. People who are vegan and vegetarians , this crisis did not have meals for those specialities , however the waiters and waitresses , were simpethic to not being able to accomedate me. I really appreciated their concerns and going the extra mile to make sure I had something to eat.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Activities were good, however due to having a late dinner I missed some of the scheduled activities

Photo Gallery

1 out of 5

Was disappointed that carnival would rather throw photos away if the person was unable to purchase each photos redicular prices , I have been on other cruises whom will sell the photos in a package , rather than throw away ones memories on the cruise if one is unable to purchase individual photos . Sad that carnival was not accommodating in this area,

Entertainment

3 out of 5
The comedy show was just ok , I was looking for more of a variety of entertainment!

Children's Programs

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Serving staff were excellent,

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
My complaint was the water drainage in the cabin bathrooms . Other than that the design and cleanliness was good

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
My cabin was nice and clean everyday, the person did an excellent job , loved the animal towels, and bottles of water. however the poor drainage of shower flooded the floor ,and resulted in standing water in the bathroom was desgusting to soak up water with towels . Then left me questioning how clean are the towel after they were washed?

Ship tip

The ship was old but very nice, the servers were wonderful very accommodating

Ports of call

Charleston, South Carolina

Princess Cays (Cruise Line Private Island)

2 out of 5
Princess Cays was so unorganized ,food lines were to long , the beach was nice and enjoying , the venders were uninviting , seemed like a wasted day , when we could have visted another island to say my trip was not only one day , a few hours in Nassau , disappointing !!!

Nassau, Bahamas

3 out of 5
The island was nice , however , my expectations were to spend another day in Nassau or go to another island in the Bahamas , and elimenant princess cay . One day a few hours on the island was not enough time , I felt disappointed,

Dear Anniekonyeaso - next time you book a cruise, talk to a booking agent and request Vegan dinners. If you give Carnival a few weeks warning, they should be able to accommodate you. The food will be prepared by an outside catering company and kept frozen until you're ready for it (like airline food). I always request Kosher dinners and have never had a problem plus the food has been pretty good! Good luck & happy cruising! 🦀⚘⛴

Rccl is better in catering to dietary needs. My toddler never goes hungry & have gluten free pizza 🍕 dough

I cruised as a vegan and they are very accommodating. You would need to advise Carnival of your dietary preferences prior to boarding. In addition, once onboard, I meet with the Maitre ‘D and go over the menu options that can be veganized. Otherwise, the night prior, they bring the next day’s menu and we figure out what can be veganized or the chef can make something altogether different for me that’s completely vegan. Even Guy’s Burgers have a veggie (vegan) pattie. It’s cooked on a different grill (it’s a small wait, but sooooo worth it!). You will need to also remind them to warm the buns on a different grill and forego the butter. The Blue Iguana is perfect for vegans as well as the pizza place (the Funghi minus the cheese). The Lido buffet is a bit more challenging, but the salad bar is a goldmine if veggies! They even created a vegan menu for me during the Chef’s Table. Trust me, I NEVER go hungry on a cruise as a vegan. 😊 Now, I completely sympathize with you regarding the photos. Hopefully, they come up with a better idea to reduce the waste (environmental especially). Some ships have digital photos via the Hub app. They’re seemingly not as expensive. Glad you enjoyed your cruise! We just debarked the Ecstasy this morning and had a phenomenal time! 🤗
