Review summary

We traveled with a group of friends and had a great time. If you need some relaxation for a few days this is definitely something you should do. Bon Voyage...

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Embarkation was a breeze. We got there at 11:00am, parked the car and were bused to the terminal. We were on the ship by 11:30 and headed for the buffet.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We ate at the Wind Song dining room assigned for the anytime diners. We had a great wait staff! Komang, I Gede and Samiarta took great care of us and we stayed with them throughout. The buffet was fair very small, one station, we grabbed a bite there a few times. Blue Iguana had great tacos and burritos and don't miss Guy's Burger Joint...

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Not too much here, a nice pool slide and mini golf. 1 pool which you could still get pool chairs. The ship was not filled too capacity so that was nice.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Theater shows were great. 3 main shows were Motown, 80's Rock and British Invasion. Performers were fantastic!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
As I mentioned before our wait staff was great. Lots of fun, very pleasant and went the extra mile to make our dining experience special. Our Cruise Director, Gary, was the best I have been with in my 25 cruise's history!!! He was loaded with energy, was at every event, in suitable attire, and very approachable. He did not have that I'm above all attitude that I've seen before. Unfortunately you'll have to sail in Australia to meet him. This was his last cruise and the Captain and staff bid their heartfelt goodbyes...

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Although the ship is old, 26 years, it was extremely clean and kept up to snuff.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Cabin was dated, tight and the bathroom was small but we survived.

Ship tip

If you purchase liquor you will have you pick it up in the Lido buffet area on dis-embarkation morning starting at 6am. Be prepared to wait on a long line. I think this was poorly done. The one plus is you don't have to complete those annoying Customs forms, hooray...

Ports of call

Charleston, South Carolina

5 out of 5
Beautiful city! We took a horse and buggy ride from Palmetto Horse and Carriage Company, post-cruise. $26 per-person. Also if you get a chance eat at Ira's Table at 129 Meeting Street. The crab cakes are out of this world as is the Fried Green Tomato Napolean.

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island

5 out of 5
Port is run down but we got a day pass for Grand Lucaya Resort all-inclusive food and drink for $56 per-person. Taxi from port to resort is $10 round-trip.

Princess Cays (Cruise Line Private Island)

5 out of 5
Beautiful private island and easy tender ride.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
We did the regular process of having the staff take our luggage and we were off the ship by 9:45 with basically no wait...
