Overall we had an amazing time and I have already told several people that have never been on a cruise that they need to go see our Carnival friends!!
Embarkation
4 out of 5
The embarkation process was very smooth and easy. The only slight negative was that our GPS took us past the entrance to the parking area but the officers that were around guiding people were very nice and helpful in getting us to the right place.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
The food was amazing! From breakfast to lunch to dinner, there were so many choices. And, if you couldn't make up your mind....ORDER THEM ALL! I was a bit disappointed that there were not more free options for drinks other than Lemonade, Water and Ice Tea and my wife and I are not big party drinkers so we opted to not get the Cheers package and bought the Bottomless Bubbles package instead. It worked out great for us.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
Our cruise director Anthony was AMAZING. He was entertaining, engaging, and very knowledgeable about just about everything on the ship and in the port. His "Fun Team" was amazing as well. We had a blast and they made sure we always felt welcomed and comfortable.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
The comedy acts were very funny as well as all of the different game shows we went to see. Our favorite hands down though was the group doing the music acts. They were so entertaining. It was amazing to see how they were able to get my wife out of her "comfort zone" and have her up and dancing and wanting to get so involved. Loved them for sure!
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
The wait staff in the main dining room was great for the most part. The only night that they seemed a little "off" was the last night we went to dinner. Service was a bit slow that night but we still had an amazing night and some great food.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
I read some reviews before we went on this cruise, since it was going to be our first cruise, and some people said that the ship was old and needed some updating. I personally had nothing to compare it against but both my wife and I thought it was wonderful. Even being an older ship they had everything set up so nicely and there was always something to do. The only down side was the small size of the swimming pool. It was so small and packed the entire time that we never even attempted to go swimming.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
The cabin was a bit small, but I didn't expect anything larger to be honest. It was very clean and our Room Steward (Ruben) was the best ever. He made sure that anything we wanted or needed was taken care of and every time he saw us he greeted us with a smile and by our first names. It made us feel very welcome and certainly helped relax us.
Ship tip
If you think you might end up dealing with motion sickness.....ask your doctor for the patch. It was great for both my wife and I and really helped us be able to fully enjoy our time. Also, get the Carnival HUB App. It was the perfect tool to help my wife and I organize what we wanted to do and when.
Nassau was beautiful. I don't understand the negative reviews people give about the locals hounding you to buy stuff because we didn't have a single problem with them. I simply said "No Thank You" and they moved on. The one BIG negative was that during our excursion to Atlantis, we finished up our dolphin interaction and moved on to the Aquaventure water park where we were able to ride only ONE slide before everyone was told to get out of the water because of storms coming in. We were never allowed back in the water and spent a lot of money to visit this place to only be able to ride ONE single slide. I understand that the tickets say "rain or shine" but if the park is not allowing people in the water during the "rain" part then we should be reimbursed something for that.
The disembarkation process was so smooth and easy. The staff on board was very helpful in guiding us in deciding whether we wanted to have our bags checked with the luggage people or just carry them off. We opted for carrying them ourselves and we were off the ship and through customs withing an hour.
