Review summary
We take this cruise annually with Carnival. They have made improvements from last year... the Serenity area had new cushions which was great because I put that in my survey last year.
Stephanie the hostess in the Wind Song dining room is wonderful and professional. Truly!
We took a few yoga classes with Axel. One was on the beach. There was no preplanning for this class at all. We had to meet in the classroom at 8:45 and then he took us to all wait in line to tender to the island like everyone else. Finally, after 20 mins he went and asked if we could board out of line because we paid for a class. Then we walked down the beach until we found an area. This island has transportation for other excursions - why not this one we had to carry all our stuff plus 3-4 large towels for the class? Couldn't it have been done on a part of the island not by the beach chairs in front of the cabana of the poor man having to stare at our rears for an hour? Also, why is every Yoga class the exact same routine. It really would have been nice for Axel to have more than one routine in his arsenal. So, I canceled the 3rd class not wanting to do the exact same thing again.

We were told if we signed up for a dining time dinner would be much faster. Sadly, it wasn't. Also, I have a gluten allergy and when taking the order the waiter told me to pick a few things for the next night in case they couldn't accommodate what I picked there would be a backup. Well, they brought all 3 entrees to the table and needless to say this kept happening night after night and the people sitting with us called us royalty and laughed it off, but I don't like being the center of attention. This allergy accommodation process really needs improvement! The gluten free bread is really awful. It is bleach white and doesn't brown and crumbles in the bun form. Again, people commented on what in the world was I eating??? I was wondering the same thing too.

Massages... my friend had a few massages and enjoyed them. I didn't enjoy mine. My girl told me she wasn't using any pressure when I told her it was too much. There were times I jumped at the pain. It wasn't pleasurable at all, but I figured I must have needed it or I was just a wimp because she kept telling me I couldn't handle pressure. She said if I schedule another she would only do Swedish and it would be a nice relaxing massage. It was better but there were times she would do the deep tissue and it was back to the previous routine. I had bruises all over for days. Guess she used pressure after all?!? A lady at my dinner table had the same girl and she said she bruised and at one point got off the table and hold he to stop hurting her. I can't remember her name but it started with a J.
Shows were the same as last year and the British one just isn't any good. The Motown is fine if you haven't seen it before. Kim Harrison is always great! The other wasn't good at least for the family show. Stephan the comedy host is way, way too loud and screams into the mic. We tried the piano bar but it really was pretty boring. Last year the entertainment was jumping in there singing and grooving. This guy was singing slow songs of his own accord.
There is a new chef on board and WOW major improvement. I loved, loved the addition of the indian dish and the added spice to things. HE IS A WONDERFUL IMPROVEMENT! Also really like the addition of the taco and burrito bar. Thank you!
