Review summary

For anyone with motion sickness, be sure to wear the patch or take dramamine. If you've heard that big ships don't rock, it is untrue. Most of the ship's crew are foreign and hard to understand and they have a hard time understanding you. Prepare to pay $9 - $12 per alcoholic drink. The food isn't all that great. Although the best place to eat is the dining room. Really read the shore excursions booklet before deciding on what to do because a lot of them have certain restrictions like weight, waist size, etc and once you buy them there are no refunds. Prepare to wait a lot and have people cut in front of you. Also anything you purchase on the ship you have to declare at customs.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

A lot of food had no taste but best place to eat is on the dining room Wind Star.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The comedy shows are awesome!

Children's Programs

3 out of 5
This really doesn't apply to us because we don't have kids.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Some are helpful and others seemed bothered by assisting us.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
It wasn't as clean as it could've been. Be sure to check the volume on the phone.

Ship tip

Motion sickness is an issue even on a big ship. You will still feel the rocking quite a bit. Be sure to read the daily itinerary they provide so you know what is going on.

Parasailing is awesome even if you are afraid of heights like me. It was more like floating. Worth a try!

Cozumel, Mexico Did not visit port

You can barter with the shop keepers and get things cheaper

we never write a detailed description for customs they don't care about little souvenirs they wanna know about large purchases, food, cigars etc, also depending on where you are on the ship your going to feel more movement like the front is always worse for people sensitive to motion sickness thankfully I'm not

Guess you need to stick with land vacations. Sorry to hear you didn't like cruising. Remember that no matter how large; you are on a ship and compared to the ocean it's a tiny speck and will move around a bit.
