Great Vacation

Room Type: Inside

The cruise overal was fun. Our family had a great time. The only issue we had was that it appeared to be basically adults only in the pool area. As my daughter said the pool is rated R. We can handle scantily clad passengers. It was the drinking to the excess where people were falling down. You couldn't even squeeze into the pool. There definitely needs to be another pool for families. The dining staff was amazing. And our room was much larger than we expected. We chose to do our own thing in Cozumel. We went to Paradise Beach and had a fabulous time. Everything on Facebook about this place was correct food. Location, staff friendliness..just beautiful.. Only drawback was the swim out to the swim toys. I consider my family to be very athletic and it was quite difficult to swim out to the toys. Highly recommend some sort of flotation device so you can rest.

Recommends Carnival Ecstasy? Yes!

Children's Programs
Not impressed at all. The age group 12-14 was mainly centered around video gaming. We can do that at home. My 15 year old went a couple of times, it was ok.
Ship Quality
Food and Dining
Our dining staff was amazing. We loved them. Would have liked to see a little more variety in the food. The other drawback was the huge midnight buffet was the night we all went to Cozumel. I didn't talk to a single person who went. Everyone was exhausted from a day at the beach. Maybe it was intentionally scheduled that way.
Cabin / Stateroom
Service and Staff
Would like more activities besides bingo and rated R contests at the pool.
Cozumel, Mexico
Paradise Beach is a must. Compared our experience to other cruisers who went to some of the other beaches and we all agreed we made the best choice.
