Review summary
The cruise was great, the staff was wonderful, and the food was delicious. Progresso was okay, but should be great in a few more years. My husband and I love Cozumel even though the prices there have risen considerably since our last visit ten years ago. The only real negative for this cruise was the boarding process in Galveston. Our last cruise was ten years ago out of New Orleans, the boarding process used then was much easier on passengers. Passengers had a large area with plenty of seating in which to wait until called to go through security and begin boarding the ship. In Galveston, passengers had to stand in long lines with the items they were carrying on board in order to pass through different areas. The first line was for cruise personnel to examine passenger documents, the second line was to pass through security, the third line was to get you sail and sign card, then finally you could sit until your boarding number was called. Once on board, all was well and we had a wonderful time and met lots of wonderful people. I was not looking forward to returning to Galveston and the end of our trip. The thought of leaving the relaxing environment aboard ship and returning to our normal routine was a bit depressing , but mainly the thought that debarking might be as much of a nightmare as boarding was not something I looked forward to. I was very happy to find debarking went very smoothly, luggage was quickly located, and getting through customs went very quickly.Ship experiences
