Review summary

This was our first cruise. We decided to go on a five day to see if we would like it. We had two adults and three teenagers (13 yr old twins and a 16 year old). We will definitely take another cruise and will probably take a seven day. The service, food and accomodations were much more than expected. Great experience, just wished we could have spent alittle more time in the port of calls.

Ports of call

Progreso (Merida), Mexico

Get a driver and go into Merida and see the church built in 1549, which is still in use today. We had a guide that took us to the old and new markets. Merida is over 1million people but the architecture is excellent. Walmart and Sam's on one corner and 300 year old buildings on another.
Don't Miss: On your way back from Merida go to the Maya ruins and take a swim in the sanotas. These are fresh water pools created by asteriods.

Cozumel, Mexico

We highly recommend visiting Playa Palancar. MIguel & Pedro are excellent guides out to the Palancar & Columbia reef. It's a short taxi ride south of Cozumel and the driver will come back for you when your ready. The snorkeling was great and we saw a nurse shark. Biggest plus it wasn't crowded. No tour buses.
Don't Miss: Palancar & Columbia reef snorkling.

Pros: Service & food

Cons: disembarking the ship was alittle disorganzed.
