Review summary

This 5 day cruise to Cancun and Progresso was a nice intro to cruising for us. The price was incredible... $380 for 5 nights including all taxes and port fees. You couldn't eat the food we ate everyday for that price in a Denny's, let alone a nice place with great service. The prices for drinks on board are very good too, much better than Vegas where a simple cocktail now is $15. I couldn't believe the people getting on with cases of coke to save the $1.75 they charge on board!?! How cheap can you be?

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
I don't know how they do it for what they charge. The food was very good and the wait staff at our table was 5 star. Eat your meals in the dining room, stay away from the buffet.

Entertainment

We kinda kept to ourselves if you know what I mean ;)...

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
This is the best staff around!

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
The ship is 17 years old, and being on board is like getting transported back in time. It is VERY clean, just a little dated. Not a huge ship, but plenty to do for 5 nights.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Clean, good staffing here too. Ours was the last room near the motors and on the lowest level of the ship. But we slept well each nice and the room was comfy. Again, 5 nights in a motel 6 would be more than this whole cruise cost.

Ports of call

Progreso (Merida), Mexico

1 out of 5
Progresso is a dumpy little town with crappy water, too many hawkers etc. We took the bus to Merida which if you don't know Mexico would be interesting. Old colonial town

Cozumel, Mexico

Try the ATV deal, that was a hoot!

Pros: Staff, Food, Cancun Port, Bars

Cons: The room we were assigned, age of boat
