Review summary

Thought the ship was laid out well and easy to access. This was our first cruise so we don't have anything to compare it to, but we enjoyed the ship and didn't feel overwhelmed. Our only problem during our cruise was, we got a little bored towards the end of the cruise. On the last night, there weren't many people out and about so it seemed kind of dead as far as activities go.

We loved this area! We are going to go back for a long weekend sometime. The town seemed tourist friendly and the snorkeling was out of this world! Wish we would have stayed here for 2 days instead of going to Progresso. Did a dolphin swim too - highly highly highly recommend it. Worth the money if you're an animal lover!
Don't Miss: Swimming with the dolphins at Dolphin Discovery!

We didn't book any excursions here because initially because we thought we'd just hang out on the beach and walk around the town. The town wasn't that impressive. And at the beach, locals were constantly coming up to us trying to sell goods. So we ended up booking an exucrsion to a hotel (The Reef Yucatan Hotel) so we could take advantage of their private beach. That was worth it. Not many people on the beach so we seemed to be in our own little world. The excursion included all the drinks and food at the hotel. We got our money's worth with the drinks but the food was just average at best. It's about a 20 minute ride to the hotel from the town and you will see some of the poorest areas you've ever seen. But once you get to the hotel - you seem to be a million miles away from all of that.
Don't Miss: Reef Yucatan Hotel

Pros: We enjoyed the food, entertainment & staff

Cons: Wish sushi bar was open longer hours and it was always too cold inside the ship!
