Galveston is so much nicer to cruise out of than any other ports we've been out of. The ship was great, staff was outstanding, we'll be back!
Embarkation

We checked in and were onboard within 20 minutes tops. Everyone was allowed into the terminal and they have ramps going up into the gangway, no stairs, no escalators which I actually liked alot. Super smooth embarkation process!

Food and Dining

The food was great in the main dining room but we only ate there twice for dinner, including one elegant night. We ate at the steak house which was veyr good, however I was disappointed that the lobster bisque didn't contain any actual lobster! Was very glad to see that they have lobster on elegant night though in the main dining room, last several cruises haven't had it there. Thought they had done away with it. We did request a table for 2 for late dining and we were sat at a large table with another couple that said the same thing happened to them. The next time we went, we requested the table for 2 and were accommodated with no problems though.
Onboard Activities

I did the spa for hot stone massage which was excellent, ,however afterwards it takes away from the relaxation feeling when all they try to do is upsell all of the products and to get you to return.
Entertainment

We went to one main show, the others just not interested in. The steel drum player on board was EXCELLENT!! He was fantastic sounding and always had a great big smile on his face, definitely could tell he enjoyed his job. We did bingo one time but it didn't have the normal excitement, went by too quickly. We also went to Deal or No Deal one time, same thing, just no excitement. Went to one comedy show and it was late night and was just mostly foul language and using the audience, not really any material. We're not prudes by any means but if that's the only thing you've got, it's not funny.
Service and Staff

The staff were outstanding at every venue we went to. Our room steward Cecep was excellent and always kept our room clean, ice buckets filled. We slept late almost every day on the cruise and I'm amazed at how he could pop in with our schedule, it was much appreciated.
Ship Quality

Really really loved our room layout and would definitely book this cabin again. Liked that there was a non smoking and smoking part of the casino on 2 different levels. Staff were constantly cleaning anytime you looked. The ship is an older one and a little wear and tear is expected. I think the carpeting needs to be cleaned especially in the cabin rooms though.
Cabin / Stateroom

LOVE THIS CABIN AND WILL DEFINITELY BOOK ANOTHER!! The extra spacious room is refreshing , loved having a full sized couch and not just a loveseat or bench. The balcony was AMAZING, large, roomy, had 2 lounge chairs, 2 sit up chairs and small table. Had plenty of room to lay out in the sun, relax, listen to the waves, watch the sunset, etc. Love having the bathroom in the opposite side of the cabin and not right when you walk in. There were extra outlets for our travel fan and my cpap machine.
Ship tip
Remember that floor 3 you cannot go all the way through, get to where you need to be on the ship on floor 4 or 5, then go down.
Extremely easy debarkation! We choose later debarkation time as we were staying in Galveston for several days after the cruise. Love the digital debarkation and having the luggage tags delivered to the room.
