Review summary

Horrible! Not an ADA ROOM! Your “Guest Services” did not care one single bit about us, an older couple who looked forward to this for a while.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
It was great! We had all of our papers and COVID information in order. We got right on!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
Food was disappointing, however, the men and women who served us were amazing. Wiwi, or Wiranata was the team lead from Indonesia, was your savior! He and his team were excellent!

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
The kids in charge of the trivia were silly and ridiculous! One was even not involved at all. Disappointing!

Entertainment

Chose not to attend.

Service and Staff

Our room was a complete nightmare! Room 9204 should be rated for one person and not an ADA room! When we saw that we had to “summersalt” over the edge of the bed to get in and out we went down to “Guest Services” to report the problem. We spoke with someone who said the system had gone down and they couldn’t help (this was after waiting in line for almost 2 hours)!!!!! I have pictures so I can show the ADA and an attorney. 5 days into the horrible nightmare, my healthy husband and I got COVID! We had only gotten off the ship in Key West. Came down with COVID 4 days later. If it hadn’t been for our room steward, I’m not sure if we would have made it.

Ship Quality

We got COVID!!!

Cabin / Stateroom

Horrible! Not an ADA room! We paid extra for this crappy room and you took advantage of us!

Ship tip

Go on another ship! Wait until COVID is better controlled!

Sorry this cruise didn't meet your expectations

9204 is an Ambulatory cabin meaning that it is for those whose ADA requirements don't involve large mobility aids but do require extra outlets and bathroom stability aids permanently installed. Though fine for somebody that uses a cane, Canadian crutches, or a folding walker it is designed more for those that need just a medical call button plus near bed outlet for medical equipment.

Sorry this cruise was so terrible. Appreciate your feedback. Hope you feel better soon.

9204 appears to be an inside cabin, and I agree with you which is why I will never (unless it was a deal I could not refuse) book those things again. Oh, and the door is in the center which is worse. You need to go yell at the idiot TA that booked you into that room since your description of needing an accessible room should have had you booked into a different room (most likely a balcony or window room).

Maybe try a Carnival vacation planner next time that can help you out picking the right room. Catching Covid is not the cruise lines fault. You went on a vacation during a pandemic, that’s a choice you made, not the cruise line.

I’m sorry you experienced such a disappointing cruise. I hope your next cruise will be much better and trouble free. I also hope that your Covid symptoms are mild and you recover quickly. Thank you for taking the time to share your review. 😎🚢☀️🩴🏝🪸🐠🌺
