Review summary

We had a good time on our cruise but it wasn't as relaxing as we were hoping. We had to skip the progeso port due to an issue with the propulsion and engine issues. Overall the activities are fun just repetitive.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
The embarkation process was slow initially but once through the security and check-in areas it was smooth.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The main dining room we were in was the crimson 3 mid/forward. The decor was simple and elegant. The food was good but limited for what we expected. We are at bonsai sushi which is extra cost but well worth it. The buffet areas including the pasta bar were outdated and a not in very good condition. It was crowded and disorganized. Guys burgers was delicious considering they pre-cook them. The fixings bar was clean and fresh.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Swimming and hot tub. The hot tubs were always crowded and the jets only worked on the ones on the serenity deck.Husband went down the slides which seemed to be in safe condition. We played bingo, love and marriage and the adult game night. These were the best activities. We also participated in the veterans recognition.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
We liked the band with Lizzie and the troubadours? The violins were good but played the same music over and over. The piano bar guy was also good but again, same music.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Our room steward Edwin was very nice and always greeted us with a smile each day. Vera was a bartender and was very friendly and had a great sense of humor. Villya in our dining room was friendly and efficient. Other staff seemed bothered when we asked for help. Namely some if the fun squad.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Poor layout. Very closed in and same decor throughout the ship. The public bathroom areas had metal covers on the floor that were dirty and rusted. The Dyson hand dryers were difficult to use. The glass surrounds in the atrium were in need of thorough sanitizing and removal of fingerprints

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
The overall size was as expected. There was some loose carpet under the edge of the desk/counter.
