We had a nice cruise. I think carnival is trending toward everything being a self serve type of experience. It appears that quality food means paying more in the specialty dining venues. Disappointing since we have cruised with carnival since we started cruising in 1996.

Even with appointment times, it is still a cattle call. There were lines crossing over other lines. Very unorganized.

Food and Dining

Overall the MDR was bland and not necessarily in line with what serving temperature should be.
Buffet was nothing to get excited over either. Not a lot of choices or taste.
On the other hand the beverages were wonderful, mixed adult beverages were well made. The tea and coffee on Lido were good as well.
Room Service

I thought this was some of the most flavorful food on board. I wish I would have found it sooner.

The main pool with the big screen is nice. It was funny to be in the sunny Caribbean and hear Christmas music...loved it.

Cabin / Stateroom

It was a typical balcony cabin. Perfect for the DH and myself. Love having a balcony. The bed was very comfortable and the staff serviced our cabin twice a day so it was always clean. Of course, we made sure our things were stowed and that makes it easier to live in small spaces.
Too many self assists that slowed those of us that checked our luggage. We were about 45 minutes behind the scheduled time to get in line. Then it was just standing in line for another 30 minutes to get to the warehouse to retrieve our luggage. Somehow they need to make this better.
