Review summary

The ship is very nice and new. The Gathering eating area is too crowded with tables to the point you can't walk by some without bumping guests. Seems there was not enough help to keep the tables cleaned when guest left the table. The shows were good. We had a death in our family at home and guests services was very helpful and kind to us (Michael Lee and Leonie) This is our second year to cruise on this ship. It would be nice to have a swimming pool for adults only. The variety of activities is good. This was our 5th cruise with carnival and we will probably cruise again. The party for returning guests was great.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
We had asked for the anytime dining, but got the late dining which was not our choice. We did go a few times and enjoyed the meals and waiters.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Good variety of shows, great magician and piano bar.

Children's Programs

3 out of 5
It would be nice to have a swimming pool just for the children. There seemed to be a lot of unsupervised children on ship this time.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Michael Lee and Leonie were very nice and helpful to us when we had a death in our family at home.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5

Pros: Visiting the ports of St Maarten, St Thomas and Grand Turk

Cons: We had to wait in a very warm terminal for 2 hours before boarding the ship. The lines getting back on the ship at port were very long. The swimming pool on the ship is too small for the number of guests to be able to use. The Gathering eating area is too crowded with tables too close.
