A satisfying cruise

Sail Date: April 23, 2011

Reviewed: 5 years ago

Traveled As: Family w/young children

Room Type: Balcony

This being our first cruise and not comparing to a previous cruise, we were able to enjoy the the entire ship. Avoiding at times the areas that were crowded, and participating in activities at leisure. Boarding and disembarking at each destination was flawless, Shore activites were plentifull, weather participating in an excursion or wandering off.

Pros: The warmth and attention of the staff throughout the cruise

Cons: Crowded top deck

Recommends Carnival Destiny (RETIRED)? Yes!

Lot's to choose from, some activities seemed short, or ending when it could continue for a longer period
Children's Programs
Service and Staff
Without a doubt , amongst the most attentative, and caring staff.
Cabin / Stateroom
Comfortable , much larger than expected
Food and Dining
Excellent service from a polished staff during dinner.
Ship Quality
The exception being the Lido deck which always seemed crowded
Ocho Rios, Jamaica
A drive through the rain forest is amazing. Bamboo Beach is not an attractive location nor should it be considered a worthwhile beach.
Don't Miss: The rain forest
George Town, Grand Cayman
7 Mile Beach. Get out to the beach and do not leave until you must.
Don't Miss: The amazing beach.
