Review summary

This was my first cruise and it was more than expected. I would certainly do it again and I would choose Carnival again. Minimal, non-deal breaking complaints. I would suggest that the company include cheaper options of jewelry, watches, and other items that can be purchased on the ship for those with not as deep pockets, so they can still walk away saying they bought something on the ship at a good deal.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Disembarkation good, embarkation could use a little more structure and ease.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Only used the free buffet. My only complaint was there not being any locations on the ship that had fruity drinks and not just coffee based drinks for the morning. And also not having more energy drink options if at all.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
The shows and main events. Bingo and Deal or No Deal. Areas to sit and listen to music.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The shows where music, lights, singers, performers, conveyor belts and giant screens all used in unison for a performance was something I have never seen before.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone was great! Nice and entertaining.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
I chose Carnival initially because of the look. Now I know being a business that goes on the water day after day, that repairs may be difficult to get completed. But I did notice some areas of the ship that had some rust forming or sealant around furniture cracking or peeling, and lamps in the cabin not working. But it's not a deal breaker for me.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
All in all great, the lamps didn't seem to work though.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

4 out of 5
In terms of road signage, it's a little difficult to find exactly where to go.

Princess Cays (Cruise Line Private Island)

4 out of 5
For someone who just wants to lay on a beach or go swimming or snorkeling, then it's great. But there isn't a whole lot to do there for anybody who doesn't want to do the former. I went inland for some experiences.

Nassau, Bahamas

4 out of 5
More to do here, but not a lot of time to do it. It's mostly a bunch of shops and restaurants.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Disembarkation went smoothly, as opposed to embarkation.
