Review summary

Great cruise. Not sure if we will try Carnival again though due to the smell of sewage, uncomfortable bed, & average food.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Good minus the waiting in line at multiple stations

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The buffet was average, but Saturday evening’s meal at the Renoir was excellent. In addition, our waiter, Marz, was outstanding!

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
We did not do any of them. The pool was way too crowded and our ship did not have a rock-climbing wall.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We really enjoyed the “Fireballs” (the 3 ladies playing the violin). They were very entertaining & talented.

Children's Programs

We did not bring our children on this cruise.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Marz did a phenomenal job as our waiter at the Renoir. Andi, our room steward, was also outstanding! These gentleman deserve a promotion.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
The upper deck smelled like sewage and the ship’s layout was confusing.

Cabin / Stateroom

2 out of 5
The king bed was merely 2 twin beds pushed together and the mattress was uncomfortable. Not to mention, there were blood smears on the walls.

Ship tip

Be prepared for a party atmosphere and pay the extra for a better cabin.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

3 out of 5

Nassau, Bahamas

3 out of 5
The beach that was within walking distance was overly crowded. Although beautiful, I’m not sure I’ll be back to Nassau.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
Everything went smooth. No issues.

The Conquest is bow reduced to short sailings and cheaper fares, which causes the young party cruisers to take advantage. Usually, this happens for a few years before decommissioned. Try one of the new ships like the Horizon, Vista, Celebration. As for the blood that is a bio hazard , did you mention it to Carnival? They would have to move you until the room was clean and sanitized.

blood? yeah that's gross. but all cruise lines will have that sewage smell, I've had it on ncl and rcl. same with the beds, two twins pushed together will be a king on all lines as well

I have to admit, blood smears on the wall are a bit concerning. Maybe it was a bar fight in your room. That Carnival conquest does have somewhat of a reputation
