Review summary

I feel like I should get a refund. The entire cruising experience was disappointing. I strongly advise not to get sick outside of the hours of 12p to 6p, the hours of the infirmary. They don't appreciate having to give medical attention outside of those times.

Embarkation was super easy and fast. The smoothest/quickest one I have ever encountered.

There was an abundance of food but the majority of what I was not good at all. The specialty restaurants were barely open and the food in those was not good either.

My room steward was very pleasant and took care of us. However, 80% off the staff that I had direct contact with were unpleasant not mean but definitely not happy. This is the first cruise that I'd been on and saw the staff like this. On our last night we talked to our waiter for a brief moment. We were informed that the employees work everyday without a day off. They are supposed to do 10 hours shifts but they're more like 12/13 hours. They're supposed to get one day off a week but too short staffed to get the one day off. At that moment it made sense. I have been there overworked, underpaid and underappteciated. Its sad because I cruise to relax, get away from my everyday hustle and bustle and enjoy a vacation but to spend my money and not get good service or decent food. Its unacceptable for me.

Ship Quality

The ship overall was fairly clean. The lounges smelled like old stale wine. A deep carpet cleaning would be so beneficial.

Cabin / Stateroom

I really was pleased with the cabin overall. The layout was a little strange but manageable.

Ship tip

I personally need a break from Carnival as a whole. Maybe the newer ships have better food and service, but I definitely would not recommend this cruise to anyone. I'm going to try a different cruiseline and will hopefully have a better experience.

Sorry for your experience, I have had nothing but luck on conquest I loved the atmosphere. I personally travel on royal more but have split time on both. Really feel that Carnival has had better party atmosphere music and activities were great. Food I’ve been disappointed on both most times but I’m there for the experience and fun.

My daughter worked at Camp Carnival for 5 years. In that time she got 1 day off. Because there were only 37 children on board. Employees of Carnival don't get days off.

We learned a long time ago to use Royal, or Norwegian.only took onr cruise on Carnival,to learn.
