Review summary

Would not ride Carnival again. Terrible food quality and choice. Extremely limited vegetarian options. We found out the second day that there was apparently a secret "vegan" menu? But it had to be ordered from the day before dining... so weird. Also wasn't sure if they knew the difference between vegetarian and vegan. Healthy options were limited as well. Carnival Conquest decor was old-fashioned, mostly clean and maintained-- but because of the dated atmosphere, felt a little dingy. Room attendants and most staff were great. Bartenders definitely watered down drinks that were already over-expensive, and had some unfortunate experiences with photo staff.

Embarkation

They had everyone line up against a wall and drop our bags at our feet so the drug-sniffing dog could check everyone out. It felt intense for no reason. Dog was cute though.

seemed like a standard size. the room fit the queen bed and a little space for us to walk around it. Kept very clean by room attendant.

Just looking for things to complain about

the hub app had an entire vegan menu every evening, when you pull up the dinner menu on the app, swipe left, bingo there it is...

As someone who has a dietary restriction, yes if you are eating in the MDR they do ask you to pick your food selections the night prior so your food can be prepared accordingly. In the buffet you can find a crew member standing at a podium who can assist with any food needs/restrictions as well.

The dog is a necessity since everyone believes the rules don’t apply to them. I eat vegan and vegetarian and have never ordered a day early. I was just on Conquest last month and both were on the regular menu. Idk maybe I was lucky?

The drug dog experience isn't any different than what you would experience in any airport. For the record, they work. Cute is a bonus. My granddog is a police dog that would tear your head off and is cute, too. And any dietary concerns you have that you didn't address prior to embarkation is on you.

Mmm... go vegan and they will try to accommodate, to order the night before is in my mind completely reasonable. And a drug dog, that's how things are these days... nothing to hide, no issue
