Review summary

Very disappointed that Carnival lead the passengers on the way they did. Only offering 50% off another cruise and $100 of onboard credit. That we didn't actually get until bedtime (well after 11) on the last day. I paid nearly $1000 for the cruise and spent nearly $1000 on board and Carnival's offer is only 50% off my next cruise?? They didn't consider the customer in this offer at all. I mean Carnival lied to us from the beginning, then they turn around and say "Well if u wanna make to to the Bahamas you can just buy another cruise" In other word "We did what we did so now shut up and pay more money and give us more time you don't have". My husband will never get that moment in the Bahamas he dreamed of with his wife because we don't have either the time left in his life or money to head right back. Carnival never considered that so it's a 100% loss for us. Thanks Carnival for nothing.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Smooth as it could be. The only issue was the passengers that had trouble listening.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Food was ok but the drinks were watered down. For $15-$24 I expected at least a little buzz from one. Had to buy at least 5 sometimes to feel anything and that's crazy because I'm not a drinker.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Pool and hot tubs stayed crowded. Never even got a chance to use it. Never found the fitness Carnival should incorporate a rotation schedule or something to fix that issue.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Live performances in the lobby were nice. Comedy show was ok. But they stay the same throughout the entire cruise. Carnival needs to work on that.

Children's Programs

No children so I didn't check the activities.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All the staff were great. Especially the housekeeping crew. They stayed in touch and responded quickly if u ever needed to call for them (which we didn't because they were always present and on time)

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The shio was nice and as clean as the could keep it.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Actually in 8383. Bad fridge and very low shower pressure. It was comfortable though.

Ship tip

I would tell them that Carnival was deceitful the entire cruise. They knew there was bad weather at the island long before even setting sail from Miami but they took us there anyway instead of being honest from the start and allowing the passengers to decide if they wanted to take a 3 day cruise to nowhere. That really made me mad.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

1 out of 5
Very well staffed. Everything moved quickly.

Bimini, Bahamas Did not visit port

Bad weather that Carnival knew about long before leaving Maimi.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Everything went very smoothly. Didn't have to do much with customs since we never docked in Bimini.

Wow! CCL doesn’t control the weather. Being disappointed is one thing but would you have been okay with putting others in danger? 🤦🏻‍♀️

Why should Carnival offer you anything?? They do not control the weather.

Did you really pay $2000 for a three day cruise?

How disappointing. Sorry.

Sorry you were disappointed. The cruise ship isn’t able to go or not go to ports at their discretion, it’s done by the ports themselves. Glad your shipboard experience was positive.

Interesting

Glad you enjoyed the cruise based on most of your star ratings. Itineraries can and do change for a variety of reasons, including weather.
