Review summary

I have been on other cruise lines and never gotten sea sick. this boat rocked the entire time to the point of making it hard to walk at times. I don't understand what was different, there was not bad weather.

Embarkation

3 out of 5
it was okay, lots of walking which was hard on my 80 year old Mother.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
Food was average at best. Dessert one night was not fully cooked and raw in the middle, steaks to cooked beyond recognition. One morning our food was cold.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
nightly show was pretty good and we did really enjoy bingo. We did the art auction and it was good but long and very loud for the space. Likely she didn't need the microphone. Guitar player/singer in the casino area just screamed into the microphone, was not good at all and made being in the casino miserable.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Good variety, great backdrops.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Room steward is what brought this up to a 4 star, she was great. knew our name after one meeting and always greeted us kindly. She was very sweet. Waiters were not bad but not great either. One morning at breakfast they made it very clear that they were ready for us to leave by saying we were late.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Ship appeared clean. Layout was not good and hard to navigate.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Cabin was clean and overall very good.

Ports of call

Nassau, Bahamas

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
Easy, no issues except every 15 minutes the reminders to get off the ship. Announcements before 9 saying it was the final call and everyone needed to be checking out but on paper it was 9:30 was the latest. we had a late flight so wanted to enjoy the ship as long as we could. breakfast that am was like they took all the leftover food from the trip and just put it out then.

You don't list your other cruises so tough to provide better reasons for the differences. Size and age of the ship has some impact to the rocking. Older and smaller sips feeling it more. Your position on the ship also factors in with feeling the waves more the higher and further forward or aft you go. Lastly, time of year and location impacts it. Just because the sky is clear doesn't mean there will not be rough seas. In the Caribbean, seas are roughest from Nov to Feb.

I was on that same itinerary and remember the rocking. Luckily, I got used to it but yeah, it was pretty rocky from time to time.

I’m onboard now and some of the staff, who I know from frequent cruises did state there was time where ocean swells made it a bumpy ride. They can’t control it. Seems you have a mostly good time. I will say the crew seems tired right now. Perhaps they are getting close to a break.
