Review summary

i have cruised a lot, this is my second carnival cruise and prob. my last. from the horrible embarking experience to them not being able to separate mine and my friends accounts so charges got all messed up. I was charged for things that where not on my invoice, and called customer service and was told that they only way to get answers was to email, and that no one i could talk with. I am still waiting to here back a week later. I also have not herd back on a inquiry that i made about leaving something on the ship. And to top it off there was over 200 that went onto my sail card from casino winnings that i have not received back in my account that was linked to my account.

horrible, my son is 4 and unvaccinated, we had the negative two days prior to leaving. i called carnival customer service directly to ask if he was going to have to be tested day of they told me no. we get there, get seperated from the rest of our group and have to wait in medical for two hours for them to test him the day of leaving. Get all the way through to show our documentation to board, then get flagged again for me this time, and had to go BACK to medical. when showing documents i told them i had BOTH my Passport and birth certificate. i was flagged because i marked that i would be using my birth certificate and showed her my passport, and told her i had BOTH.

Usually, if your casino bank has a balance, you cash out on the last night. If you leave it behind, they send a check by snail mail.

In the beginning you stated this will probably be my last Carnival cruise it sounds honestly like it needs to be your last cruise from anyone If you left something on board that was your mistake and you will probably never get it back if you left money on a casino account they will mail you a check although I don’t think you deserve it Why don’t you try Disney World you won’t have to worry about any of the problems you had on the ship

@NJCruiseGuy, ah, yes, the drink package. If one person in the room gets the drink package, everyone in the room gets the drink package. That could explain the unexpected charges and where the casino winnings went.

We check our balance daily. No surprise there. As far as the testing, no mater what you thought you heard. On the Carnival web site it states Your unvaccinated child would be tested at the port. Sorry things didn’t go well.

Seems like a lot of rookie mistakes for someone who has cruised “a lot”. Forgetting an item on the ship and not cashing out your casino balance? Was the drink package involved?

Thanks for the review. It sounds like cruising is probably not for you. Cruising with an unvaccinated child is not a good experience right now. As far as the refund from the casino, you should’ve cashed out on the last night in the casino. If you did not, you should get a check in the mail or credit back to your account in a few weeks.
