Review summary

The cruise was great. I met some nice people that I hung out with, so I didn't have time to get upset about some minor thing or the other. Except the cake.

This was the smoothest process. For some reason, they directed me so I didn't have to wait in any line!

I'm not a foodie, so for me the food was fine. I couldn't tell you if it was excellent or just ok. But I'm a cake person, and the cake in the buffet is just awful. Far too much whipped cream frosting. Not enough cake.

The cabin was adequate for 1 person. I didn't spend much time in the room except for sleeping.

Given Carnival is a budget line, I would never expect good cake.

Thanks for your input! I'm traveling alone for 3 days to start my first trip! I'm excited and not expecting this ship to be all that but, I will make the best of it no matter what!

Appreciate your feedback. Glad you enjoyed your cruise. We’ve had some very good cakes and some very bad cakes over the years. Actually my favorite was the diet orange cake (I know sounds awful), but it isn’t made any more!

Sounds like you had a decent time. Sorry about the cake, agree most time it is only OK at best, except on the Glory in March the cake & pastries were fantastic. Best from any Cruise we have been on.

@jallaway I would have agreed with you until I had a cake on Horizon. Some kind of caramel goodness. Not too sweet and not dry like most. Looked high and low for that thing on Panorama but it must have been hiding on Horizon.
