I’ve been on other cruises and all were better then carnival. We made the best of it and found things we did like but overall I wouldn’t do it again. I was also promised an on board credit from BJ’s travel which I didn’t get.
Embarkation
1 out of 5
Terrible embankment in Miami. We did all of the online check in and the VeriFLY app and had a check In time window but all of this didn’t matter. Everyone waited on one long line outside in the heat for over two hours and then another line after getting through security in the building.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
For the most part main dinning room was ok but buffet was not.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
Pools were overly crowed. Hot tubs also crowded in main areas. The one thing that made it better was the hot tube in the serenity area. Nobody there and lots of cushion lounge chairs. Very nice but if you wanted a drink you had to go to the lower levels to find a bar or waiter.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
Stage show very good and comedian was great. Wish there were more shows in the big theater. The comedy show was in a small crowded lounge area. Would have been nice to see him in the big theater.
Children's Programs
No kids with us.
Service and Staff

Service was good
Ship Quality
3 out of 5
The dinning rooms were real nice. The areas by the elevators had a horrible oder. Smelled like the carpets may have been wet at one time.
Cabin / Stateroom
3 out of 5
Could have been cleaner. Cabin showed age. Dents in the wall. Dust in corners. Showe drain went down very slow so you were standing in water as you showered. Our safe wasn’t working. Someone came to fix it but it took almost an hour of our time sitting there in the room with the workers. Small tv compared to other cruise line we went on. Size was ok. Bed was very comfortable.
I don't understand the embarkation process, why it's a hassle for some people. I sailed on conquest in May, and I literally just walked in, showed them my papers and veryfly over at the right hand side, then put my bag on the x-ray machine, and went upstairs. There was a line full of people, yes, but I wasn't in it. I didn't have to wait behind anyone.
