We had a great time on the Conquest.
I'm so glad we boom this Sailabration cruise.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
This was the smoothest embarkation I've done. We didn't have to wait behind more than 2 people in any of the lines we were in. Because we had a suite we were able to get on board as soon as we completed everything and got into our room right away. Because we carried-on all of our stuff we were unpacked, settled in and ready to start our cruise by 12:30.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Main dining room was very good. We had our time dining so had different servers each night. It amazes me how quickly the servers learn you name and remember it. One server saw us in the lido restaurant the next day and remembered all of our names.
I was a little disappointed that we did not have some of the "old time favorites" that I thought were going to be on this sailing.
Steakhouse
5 out of 5
Our meal at the steakhouse was absolutely wonderful. This was the 2nd time I have gone to the steakhouse on a carnival ship, the first was on the Vista this past fall, which was very good. But the Conquest was even better. The food was cooked to our perfection and service was very good. My only complaint with our meal was with the dessert. Two of us ordered the chocolate sphere and the chocolate sauce that the server pours over the sphere was not very hot and so it didn't melt the sphere like it should have. But it still tasted very good.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
We enjoyed the on board activities, however was disappointed this ship did not have the Deal Or No Deal game we had on the Vista this fall. I hope it gets put on all the ships.
By far the best was the 6-ship meet-up. Really enjoys watching all the ships get together, and of course the horn blasts at the end.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
The ships were good. Only went to one comedy show and was average. Had a few laughs, but not necessarily rotf laughter.
Musicians in the lobby were good.
Was disappointed in the piano bar performer. He didn't have a lot of songs to choose from, did not encourage much singing or interaction from those around the bar, and his voice was not very good, was muffled and hard to understand the words.
Service and Staff

Had great service throughout the ship.

Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
This is a Junior suite and was perfect for my 2 adult dtrs and me.
The sofa was turned into a full sized bed (not a twin) which I used and my dtrs had the 2 twins. My only complaint was the hardness of the sofa bed. I like a firm mattress, but this was too firm.
I use CPAP and night and with the coffee table placed by the head of my bed I could use the outlet by the refrigerator cabinet in front of the window without needing an extension cord.
There is plenty of countertop and cabinet space in the room and the closets are in the "dressing room" that leads to the bathroom. There is more closet space than a regular balcony cabin.
The bathroom is typical for a suite with 2 sinks, lots of coubtertop space and a bathtub with enough room for all of our shower stuff.
Our room steward, Jay, did a wonderful job keeping our room tidy and clean.
We rented a cabana to provide a respite from the sun. We also rented a kayak and a water tricycle. The tricycle was a bit of a challenge as the waves kept causing us to drift away from the direction we wanted to go. My dts both did a little swimming, but the water was too cold for my taste.
The Conquest was my first cruise (12 cruises ago) and I loved it! We stopped alongside the Triumph when she was disabled in the Gulf of Mexico to drop off water and food. Tripped me right out. Great memory and first cruise experience. I was addicted ever since.
