I was very disappointed in the trip. I’ve cruised with several different cruise lines and Carnival is normally my favorite but this experience was not pleasant at all. Food not good, no activities, and poor entertainment left only the pool/jacuzzis as the thing to do daily which also meant it was packed and there was never anywhere to sit. I would not recommend this cruise at all. Another Carnival ship with other people planning it perhaps…but not this one.
Embarkation

We were rushed and hoarded around. The guy didn’t even verify our recent negative Covid test results. He didn’t even ask about them.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
1 out of 5
The food was awful. We sailed with a family of 9 and we resulted to salads every day or burgers from Guys. That was the only food worth eating. The burgers were great and u can’t mess up a salad. Glad the trip was fairly short because after eating a burger twice a day for four days, we were totally ready to get off the ship if nothing else but to get some decent food
Onboard Activities
1 out of 5
The entertainment and activities were slim pickings. There was nothing at all for kids under 5 as the kids club didn’t open for their age and this was not announced beforehand or I would have choose a different cruise. The shows were very limited and the little bit of activities were not entertaining at all. We found ourselves being forced to entertain each other with cards or board games that we luckily brought on board.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
Entertainment was pretty much non-existent. There was only one stage show or comedy show to choose from per day. The rest of the day there was nothing to do and we were at sea for 3 of our 4 days. Ex. Mon comedy show, Tues-Motown, Wed-comedy again, Thurs-80s show. Each night They played a movie out by the pool but that was it. The shows were not entertaining the people could not sing, the jokes are not funny.
Children's Programs
1 out of 5
Not available for 3-5 year old. So my 8 year old couldn’t go either Because he had to stay and play with my four-year-old as she was crying when we tried to drop him off and she wasn’t allowed to go.
Service and Staff
3 out of 5
The staff were all pleasant, nice, and accommodating. No complaints there.
Ship Quality
2 out of 5
The ship was clean but could use some updating
Cabin / Stateroom

Typical.
Ship tip
Choose a different ship. I’ve cruised with Carnival before about 5 times and this trip was a HUGE disappointment
Sad to hear about the poor food. The Conquest was my first cruise on a Carnival ship. It was actually the great food we had that hooked me on Carnival.
It sounds like you didn’t have the best time. The kids club info is posted on their website. Entertaining your own kids is going to happen. Maybe another cruise line would work better for you.
Sorry this cruise didn’t meet your expectations. It has been “advertised” since the restart that the children’s programs were not up and running. Surprised you were unaware. Appreciate your feedback.
