Review summary

My wife and I wanted to relax with drinks in deck chairs without a lot of interruption from kids. Most of the children stayed at the from of the ship for those of us that wanted to relax. It was much appreciated.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Dinners were great, but there were too many lines at continental food stations.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
We spent time at the pool and karaoke. I wished that there were other activities besides sales and auctions. I also wasn't impressed that there was a regularly scheduled LGBT get-together. Political agendas seem inappropriate to have on a vacation that I paid for.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

4 out of 5
Boarding the ship was smooth, but slow.

Ocho Rios, Jamaica

4 out of 5
The Zip line, tubing, and catamaran was very exciting, but tour guides pushed tipping in a major way. It wasn't like this my last trip to Ocho Rios 3 years ago. Other tourists noticed it too.

George Town, Grand Cayman

4 out of 5
Wonderful beach, but drinks were pricey.

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
Line for the ferry took forever...and we left the beach early. There should be a set line path for each ship, so people don't get confused about where they go.

You did good to find a relatively kid-free zone in the Summer on a Carnival ship. Congrats!
