Review summary
Being with family was the favorite part of cruise. But for as customer service of the cruise needs improvement. Activities overlap, not many but the ones they have overlap, comedy shows were great. All of the entertainment that we were able to make it to was good. Just the top shows and/or performances were too close to get to the other shows prior to starting. Bingo customer service was horrible the set-up was terrible, walk in to one person as soon as there is a line, "just sit down we will get to you" ok that fine but now others come in you assisted them with a bingo card no problem. You hold your paper up to get a bingo card, the staff walk pass you like you not even there. I'm trying to avoid the race card but it was almost obvious. Casino was ok, there is a point system in which you can reach to get free drinks the rest of the cruise, once accrued these points you get up to 15 drinks a day in the casino, ok at 1st had no problem with a waiter and/or waitress but once received the points for free drinks they stop coming, rude bartender in casino stating " I couldn't use my sign and sail card because of the free drinks card" , explained there wasn't a server on the floor, "you have to on a server" Waited over 30 min at a machine to get 1 drink, prior speaking to a manager and he found a waiter, name Christin that was very nice and came back in a few minutes to get me another drink. You would think if I'm spending my money, shouldn't be a problem getting drinks, even if they are free. Set-up through Hilton Honors have appox. 9 rooms of people, asked if we could be in the same area of dinning, sure as told this didn't happen, information was set-up on everyone's room early dinning group party, just didn't book as a group, several, several months prior to cruise. Not sure whom drop the ball but, we were all over the place different dining rooms, different levels, Carnival claimed they couldn't assist cause dinning was full. Didn't need the same tables or nothing just in the area, so we could make plans, since its hard to find people on ship, this didn't happen totally not as planned. Getting on the ship was horrible especially for all the 1st time cruisers that were with me, over 2hr and 45min of standing just in line, no explanation or nothing. Finally found out ship was late and Customs was clearing ship, would have been nice if some kind of announcement was made, again customer service. Pictures, you do better taken you own, took several pictures, went to find them, nope not there, but ask staff where might they be found, point to a stack of pictures of everyone on ship for me to search through, "stated they might be in there and/or behind other pictures" not willing to assisted at all. But you want me to look for my own pictures through almost everyone on ship (2000+) and still pay you $12 a piece plus, this is crazy. There were certain pictures that I really wanted for memories, Son's Graduation cruise, mom 1st cruise, almost everyone I was with 1st cruise. You would think they wouldn't have been all about the $ and help make moments memorably, which in turns creates, return guests, more people and money. This department needs an upgrade ASAP with staff and up to date technology, where you can use picture find by sign and sale # and/or face recognition. Guy's burger great!!! Staff in Monet dinning room were great. (Johnrey/Dana wonderful) lots of laughs, they help me over look the bad experiences.
