Review summary
My favorite part of the cruise was visiting Half Moon Cay. The weather was perfect; not too hot, beautiful clear water, good eats. While the food was simple (hotdogs and burgers) it was fresh and satisfying. Walking along the beach and floating on the rafts made the experience perfect. I only wish we could have stayed longer. Our time at Nassau was educational. I had read previous post about the pushy vendors and that is an understatement. If you want a scooter or atv then the guys are there to help you out. We did get scammed in one of the island tours. The $30 for 2.5 hours...do it if you want a tour. DO NOT fall for the $20 "we are leaving now" tour. That one will not take you to Atlantis as stated. My recommendation for Nassau...either book an excursion with the cruise line or book a resort day with one of the local resorts. Junkanoo beach was a disappointment...Junk beach. Overall Nassau was lovely and there are some cool sights...Queens Staircase, Fort Fincastle, and Fort Charlotte.
About the cruise experience...the ship was incredible. We stayed in aft balcony and had no seasickness, it was very stable and only a little vibration noise when powering up. The buffet food was decent, the frozen rum drinks were lacking rum but otherwise good. The entertainment was okay. Personally I didn't care for the comedian Al Romero, not very original stuff. But all the staff was great. We had a great time, it wasn't too crazy or too young of a crowd...we're 37-49...and we look forward to booking again with Carnival.

Ship tip
Get Faster to the Fun and use it! We got on the ship in 20 minutes at 2 pm and there were probably over a thousand people in line. It also puts you to VIP desk at the guest services counter...we discovered that after standing in line for forty minutes.
